Wholesale is unlike e-commerce or SaaS: sparse data, huge transactions, complex catalogs, and long-term relationships. Our models help sales reps know which of their 200 customers to call today - insights that can save a €2M account or unlock €50K in new monthly revenue.
The Role: Sr. Data ScientistBuild ML/AI systems for industries from construction to steel wholesale. This is not off-the-shelf ML: you'll design models where success = revenue impact, not just accuracy.
You'll work on:
- Production AI at Scale: ML models across millions of transactions, 20+ enterprises, 500K+ SKUs.
- End-to-End Ownership: From definition to deployment, evaluation, and A/B testing.
- Complex Challenges: Sparse data, extreme imbalance, multi-objective optimization, scaling from SMBs to enterprises.
- Strong ML fundamentals, production experience, distributed computing, and solid engineering practices
- Problem-solving from first principles, comfort with ambiguity, and business pragmatism
- Proven record with irregular time series, hierarchical data, actionable insights, and multi-tenant ML
Bonus: B2B analytics, recommendation systems, supply chain, Databricks/Snowflake, MLOps, European context, German language.
