About the job:

We are seeking for an IT Officer to join our Branch team based in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt branch has been established in Germany since 1998 and is a branch in accordance with Section 53b of the German Banking Act (KWG).

As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the IT infrastructure, as well as providing support to ensure the Branch's systems operate smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for opening and closing the IT infrastructure and systems (i.e., opening and closing the business).
• Ensures that the SWIFT system operates properly and securely.
• Monitors the operation of the Branch's IT infrastructure and implements maintenance programs for the branch's facilities and equipment. Any problems or malfunctions are reported to IT support in Greece.
• Provides information and support to the Branch Manager on daily issues related to the branch's IT infrastructure.
• Is responsible for handling requests from relevant departments regarding the operation and security of computer equipment and IT systems. He also provide support for systems and users of software and hardware applications.
• Receives and transfers computer files and maintains backups.
• Is responsible for the security of the server room and all computer equipment at the branch.
• Acts as system administrator and performs all tasks required by the position.
• Ensures that the IT infrastructure, networks, and interfaces are secure and functioning correctly.
• Plans, manages, and leads technology projects using both agile and traditional methodologies.

Qualifications

• BSc in Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Excellent command of English and Greek, knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of the setup, operation, and optimization of IT infrastructures, systems, and SQL databases.
• Expert knowledge of modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, and XML, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Very strong analytical skills and problem solving mindset
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
