This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of their international footprint growth across Germany and Austria with focus on grocery retail + drugstore channel, driving commercial strategy and expanding distribution across multiple channels.
With ambitious plans in place, the business is seeking a commercially sharp, strategically minded Key Account Manager to shape and deliver sustainable growth.
The role: Key Account Manager Germany & Austria
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the commercial strategy and business roadmap for Germany & Austria, aligned with regional and global objectives
Managing and growing key retail, drugstore, and online accounts, acting as the primary commercial contact
Negotiating annual agreements, JBPs, pricing, and promotional plans to drive profitable growth
Expanding distribution, improving route-to-market models, and unlocking new channels and partnerships
Delivering accurate forecasts, tracking KPIs, and proactively managing performance
Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Regulatory to ensure flawless execution
This Key Account Manager Germany & Austria role offers real autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to influence both local market strategy and wider European direction.
Ideal candidate – Key Account Manager Germany & Austria
We are looking for a commercially sharp, relationship-led FMCG professional with strong experience in the German market.
You will ideally bring:
Ideally 5+ years' experience in FMCG Key Account Management
Deep knowledge of the German retail landscape (LEH) and strong exposure to drugstore channels (dm, Rossmann, Müller)
Proven experience negotiating annual agreements and managing complex customer relationships
Strong P&L understanding, forecasting capability, and data-driven decision making
Fluency in German and English
A proactive, results-driven mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills
Experience with online/pharmacy accounts, matrix organisations, or broader European exposure would be advantageous.
