Role Description

We are looking for a test engineer in automotive with experience in both software testing and validation, and electrical/electronic hardware systems.

Locations: Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the integration and validation of software versions and ECUs in the workshop environment.
  • Performing tests according to diagnostic specifications and test requirements (e.g., addressing, diagnostic modes, timing parameters).
  • Analysing and documenting test results, preparing bug reports and maintaining test data in Azure DevOps and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborating with the integration team and workshop technicians to clarify technical inquiries.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations (e.g., HV training for high-voltage systems).

Qualifications

  • Completed a degree in engineering.
  • Basic software programming knowledge to understand and perform automated software tests.
  • Experience with diagnostic and test tools (e.g., ODIS, CANoe, Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of ECU communication (UDS, CAN) and fault analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of high-voltage safety and workshop processes.
  • Team player with a structured work approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Completed technical training or a degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field is a huge plus.

Special Requirements

  • Willingness to work in a workshop environment and coordinate directly with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to pass HV training and get the client's certification required for workshop access.
  • Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.

Term
: minimum 1 year, full-time, on-site in the Workshop in Bavaria and/or Baden-Württemberg

Relocation support (Blue Card) for non-EU citizens is possible.
