About Us
At tozero, we are building Europe's first industrial-scale battery recycling plants to regenerate critical raw materials like lithium and graphite. We've proven our tech in the lab, scaled it in our pilot, and are now constructing our first-of-a-kind (FOAK) commercial demonstration plant. To finance our continued growth, we are looking for a Debt Finance Manager.
What We're Looking For
You will be working in our Finance and Strategy department focusing on Non-Dilutive Financing. you'll work closely with our Project Finance & Grant Acquisition Manager to drive non-dilutive funding for tozero. You will gain hands-on experience through application, due diligence, modeling and execution phases to help finance R&D projects as well as our large CAPEX intensive FOAK projects. If you're curious, analytical, and excited about financing innovative scientific projects, this is for you—whether you come from engineering, science, finance, or business.
What You Can Expect
- Map the funding landscape from grants to growth financing funds from large international banks
- Screen opportunities and design timelines with requirements to aid expansion planning
- Perform modelling and scenario analysis (Excel/financial modelling)
- Assist in due diligence processes: collect technical, operational, commercial and financial inputs across teams and communicate with financial institutions
- Process support: assist in coordinating meeting and tracking project progress for ongoing projects
- Write reports: help in writing submission documents for applications and project progress updates to financial institutions.
Your profile
- Studying or recently graduated in Engineering, Scientific fields, Economics, Finance, Business Administration (or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
- Strong written communicator who can draft concise notes, organise data and write longer applications
- Curious about how science meets finance — you like learning new instruments and reading between the lines of eligibility rules.
- Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets; Google Slides a plus.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
- No prior financing experience required, motivation and rigor matter most.
