Account Manager (Eastern Germany) - paper making chemicals
(m/w/d)

Location: Ideal location is in Saxony, however it is flexible.

Languages: Fluent German and at least conversational/professional English

Includes Salary, bonus, car

A global chemical manufacturer and distributor is searching for an Account Manager to both managed existing accounts and drive new sales of specialty chemicals into the paper technology and manufacturing industry in most of Eastern Germany.

The position is home-based reporting to remote sales manager for EMEA.

Key Points / Must Have
:

  • Significant in-depth knowledge and experience with paper manufacturing and paper chemistry
  • Location must be in the noted areas as the person will travel to customers throughout the region
  • Significant knowledge of recycled paper manufacturing (not only integrated pulp mills)
  • Bachelor's degree in paper chemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar

Position:

  • Both manage existing and acquire new accounts within the territory of Saxony
  • Work primarily with the "wet process" side of mills recycling paper to manufacturing cardboard and paperboard.
  • Demonstrate technical competence with customers
  • Coordinate and manage company field and technical representatives as they work with your customers
  • Manage/run testing and in-plant trials
  • Coordinate logistics as needed
  • Provide forecasts and manage project pipeline
  • Mentor/train junior field techs and representatives
  • Potentially manage a team with growth of sales
  • Permanent/full time position

Requirements and other:

  • Extensive experience selling in the paper industry. 10+ years preferred
  • Familiar with local area
  • Degree in paper science/chemistry, chemical engineering or similar
  • German and English
