Data Migration Manager – SAP S/4HANA & DATEV

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Manager to support the migration of master and transactional data from Datev Rechnungswesen to SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate preparation, validation, and sign-off of data loads that underpin a successful system implementation.

Role Overview

The Data Migration Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality data preparation and overseeing the migration lifecycle. This includes data recording, load preparation, issue resolution, and coordination of stakeholder sign-off. The role requires close collaboration with project teams, functional experts, and business stakeholders to ensure a smooth and compliant migration process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and document all master and transactional data required for migration.

  • Prepare data load files in bespoke formats aligned with project specifications.

  • Work closely with the project team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues.

  • Manage data load sign-off processes with stakeholders.

  • Maintain a detailed issue log covering identified, escalated, and resolved import issues.

  • Deliver validated data sets and sign-off documentation for each migration cycle.

Data Categories

Master Data: Vendors, Customers, Assets, Vendor Bank Data

Transactional Data: AP open items, AR open items, GL balances, GL OIM, Assets

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of five years' experience in data migration projects with a proven end-to-end delivery track record.

  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA and Datev Rechnungswesen, including relevant modules, interfaces, data cleansing, and validation.

  • Solid understanding of business and finance processes, including RTR, PTP, and OTC, with the ability to align technical migration tasks to business workflows.

  • Advanced Excel capability, including complex analysis, pivot tables, and handling large datasets.

  • Fluent written and spoken German and English, with the ability to communicate clearly within international teams.
