To strengthen our Finance Team in
Berlin
, we are currently looking for a committed and detail-oriented:

Financial Accountant (m/w/d)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle all
    daily accounting activities
    , including
    accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger postings
    .
  • Prepare and
    reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    in compliance with
    HGB
    and support IFRS reporting where applicable.
  • Manage and reconcile
    bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and accruals
    .
  • Ensure
    accurate VAT and OSS (One Stop Shop)
    reporting and compliance with German tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external
    tax advisors and auditors
    during financial audits and tax declarations.
  • Oversee and process
    employee expenses, supplier invoices, and payment runs
    .
  • Assist in
    month-end and year-end closing
    , ensuring timely and precise submission of financial data.
  • Support process improvements, internal controls, and automation initiatives within the accounting function.

Requirements:

  • Degree in
    Accounting, Finance, Economics
    , or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience
    in
    financial accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field
    , preferably in an
    international environment
    .
  • Excellent knowledge of
    German accounting standards (HGB)
    ; familiarity with
    IFRS
    is an advantage.
  • Proven experience with
    OSS (One Stop Shop)
    reporting and VAT handling.
  • Solid hands-on experience with
    financial software
    such as
    DATEV, SAP, or Lexware
    .
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and an independent, structured working approach.
  • Excellent
    communication and teamwork
    skills.
  • Fluent in
    German and English
    , both written and spoken;
    Chinese
    language skills are a plus.
