Dresden, Sachsen, Deutschland Connected Consumables Vollzeit

Connected Consumables has set itself the task of fundamentally changing cancer therapy. With groundbreaking technologies, we create solutions that make infusion treatments safer, more efficient, and more accessible – for patients, caregivers, and clinics alike. By automating manual processes, minimizing risks, and shortening infusion times, we are not only improving the quality of care, but also actively shaping the future of oncology.

To further advance this mission, we are looking for an experienced leader as Director of Technology & Engineering (m/f/d) who, with strategic vision and technical excellence, will play a key role in shaping our product development and putting our vision into practice.

Aufgaben

As Director of Technology & Engineering – with the prospect of a future CTO role – you will work with our team to shape the next phase of development for our technology. Your goal: to turn a powerful vision into a marketable product that will bring about lasting change in cancer treatment. You don't need to be a medical technology expert – what's important is your experience in successfully bringing complex hardware products from concept to market launch.

Product Development Manager:

You will transform our innovative ideas into an approved, industry-ready medical device. With an agile, user-centered development approach, you will quickly advance prototypes and continuously integrate feedback from clinical teams, users, and stakeholders. In this way, you will ensure that our solutions are not only technically excellent, but also meet real needs in everyday clinical practice.

Leading the interdisciplinary team:

You will lead and inspire an interdisciplinary team of engineers, software developers, and medical technology experts. In doing so, you will create an environment in which people can develop their potential and work together to develop innovative solutions. You will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, promote exchange between departments, and ensure that all technical disciplines work together efficiently – from the initial idea to the market-ready product.

Interface with regulatory authorities and clinical team:

You will work closely with our clinical partners and regulatory experts to ensure that our products meet the highest quality and safety standards (e.g., MDR) without compromising speed or market orientation.

Qualifikation

Your Profile

  • Education: Degree in medical technology, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science – or equivalent practical experience in product development.
  • Product development experience: You have several years of experience in the development of complex hardware products – whether in medtech or a similarly demanding industry. Your expertise in transforming ideas into market-ready products is crucial. Experience with medical devices is an advantage.
  • Leadership skills: Proven experience in leading interdisciplinary teams and establishing efficient development processes – preferably using agile methods.
  • Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mechanical design, electrical/electronic circuit technology, and software applications in medical technology – and the ability to successfully orchestrate all disciplines.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Ideally, experience in dealing with technical standards and certifications, e.g., EN ISO 13485 and/or FDA certification processes, desirable but not a requirement.
  • Analytical and organizational skills: Structured approach to work, problem-solving skills, and experience in project management, preferably in agile methods.
  • Teamwork and communication: Strong skills in working with interdisciplinary teams and the ability to communicate technical requirements in an understandable way.
Benefits

What we offer

  • Creative freedom and influence: Play a central role in developing innovative medical devices that make a lasting difference to patients' quality of life.
  • Agile working environment: Work in a dynamic start-up that encourages initiative and gives you the chance to actively shape your work environment.
  • Personal development: We support your professional development – with the opportunity to grow into the role of CTO in the future.
  • Team spirit: Become part of a motivated, collegial team that works together with enthusiasm. Team spirit and mutual support are our top priorities.
  • Flexibility: Enjoy a hybrid working model with flexible working hours that can be optimally combined with your personal lifestyle.
  • Location: Our office is located in Dresden, Saxony. This position requires on-site presence at least 50% of the time – preferably with Dresden as your general place of residence and life.
