Manager Technical Systems

For the department Technical Systems, you will take a key role in shaping a newly established organization that drives technical excellence across our operations. You will lead specialist teams in Mechanical, Automation, and Electronics, and build a new Logistics team that sets standards across three regions.

This position offers you the opportunity to create structures from the ground up, bring clarity to complex processes, and foster a culture of collaboration and trust. You will work closely with the Head Operations, ensuring technical integrity and operational performance go hand in hand.

Your profile and background

We are looking for a visionary leader with a technical background who enjoys shaping change:

• You hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.
• You have proven leadership experience in technical organizations and solid project management skills
• The strong ability to build new structures, create transparency, and drive change is necessary for this role
• A qualification or willingness to take on operator responsibilities (e.g., GVEFK) is a strong advantage
• You embrace your passion for developing people and teams and demonstrate ownership by proactively identifying, driving, and delivering key topics
• Your hands-on mentality combined with strategic vision as well as your analytical mindset and curiosity drive you to challenge the status quo
• You are fluent in German and English

You analyze processes, identify improvements, and lead collaborative change. Furthermore, you establish strong stakeholder relationships in close cooperation with region management
• Operational Excellence: You ensure technical integrity and reliability of systems in alignment with operational goals. To do so, you collaborate closely with Head Operations and Operations Manager to secure seamless execution and readiness for future assets. You establish clear governance and control mechanisms for your domain and drive effective subcontractor management for all technical agreements in your region
• Safety & Compliance: Foster a strong safety culture and guarantee compliance with all regulation

This will be our challenge

The Field Operations DC unit executes field operations including maintenance, overhaul, and small projects for offshore and HVDC assets. It manages asset data, documentation, and standardized DC engineering services. The unit plans and oversees operations & maintenance, monitors assets, manages faults, and ensures technical and organizational readiness of new assets. It continuously improves maintenance and logistics strategies and provides detailed engineering expertise to support other execution units.
