WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In this role, you'll not only help shape the foundation of our NVD platform but also ensure that our development workflows are continuously evolving – with stability and innovation going hand in hand.

Innovation Development: You will actively shape the future of our NVD Core and related libraries by designing and implementing new features. Together with the team, you'll translate complex requirements into robust and modern C++ solutions.

Clean Code: Maintaining and improving existing code is just as important to us as innovation. You'll optimize performance, extend APIs, and ensure that our codebase remains clean, efficient, and backward-compatible.

Network Expertise: Whether it's TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, or SMTP – you'll work hands-on with network-heavy modules and custom protocol implementations. Ensuring stability under load and solving low-level socket issues will be part of your challenges.

Quality Focus: Quality is key. You'll write and maintain unit and integration tests using GoogleTest/GoogleMock, and bring performance bottlenecks to light with profiling and debugging. Introducing new tools is encouraged.

Collaboration: We believe in strong team dynamics. You'll take part in design reviews and architectural discussions, contributing your perspective while learning from others.

YOUR PROFILE

You should bring most of the following with you:

Modern C++ Expertise

• 5+ years of experience with modern C++17/20: templates, metaprogramming, move semantics, concurrency
• Strong grasp of object-oriented and generic design patterns

Library Development

• Proven track record designing and implementing new features in large C++ codebases
• Deep debugging and profiling skills (memory, threading, performance bottlenecks)

Version Control & CI/CD

• Daily use of Git; GitLab merge request workflows and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with linters, static analysis, and code-quality checks integrated into CI

Networking Fundamentals

• Solid understanding of TCP, UDP; familiarity with higher-level protocols (HTTP, MQTT, SMTP)
• Ability to work with custom protocol implementations

Collaboration & Process

• Experience operating within an Agile/Scrum team
• Strong communication skills for design discussions and code reviews

No "must have", but nice and helpful:

• CMake proficiency for writing and refactoring build scripts
• Unit and mock testing with GoogleTest/GoogleMock
• IT-security and cryptography knowledge (willingness to learn advanced concepts)
• Performance-profiling tools (Valgrind, perf, VTune) or static analysis frameworks
• Experience with packaging tools (Conan)
