Layout & Electronics Designer (m/f/d)

This comprises lots of challenging tasks around sensor fusion, signal- and image processing, IoT, AI/deep learning, robotics, connectivity and communications technologies.

We are proud of our reliable and well-established international engineering teams and would like to grow our company with the support of additional experienced layout and electronics designers at our Munich location.

You should cover several of the following competencies
:

• Proficient in PCB layout design with layer count up to 20 layers
• Experienced with Siemens/Mentor Xpedition/PADS tooling or Altium Designer
• Experienced with KiCAD or other tools
• Knowledge of general electronics development (from scratch or starting with a given design spec)
• A minimum of five years of experience with either layout design and electronics schematic entry design
• Experience with highly sophisticated PCB layout requirements such as layer stackup definition, impedance controlled routing, equal length routing, ESD- and EMC-optimized place and route technologies
• Knowledge in optimization of signal integrity, cross talk and parasitics
• Experience with concept and requirements engineering in application domains like automotive, medical devices or railway
• Motivation to collaborate with mechanical engineering
• Experience with Design-for-Testability, Design-for-Manufacturability, manufacturing data processing and interfacing with Electronic Manufacturing Suppliers
• Experience in testing of functional blocks (primarily digital) under consideration of EMC, signal/power integrity and thermal aspects is a plus
• Practice in bringing up of developed boards
• Writing, editing and reviewing of paper work like specifications, documentation and reports
• Ability to work in distributed international teams
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English or German

Additional expertise would be a plus in one or more of the following topics:

• Specific design expertise like analog design, FPGA-integration, power electronics, power supplies
• Working experience with special PCB technologies, e.g. flexible parts, non-FR4 material, special connector integration, high currents
• Special PCB simulation and layout tooling, e.g. SPICE, DRC
• Basic understanding of domain-specific quality and safety-critical standards like IEC 60601 or ISO 26262

Our projects are primarily based at our headquarters in Munich with options to temporarily work at our subsidiary offices in Bucharest, Romania or in Toronto, Canada.
