Location: Bremen, Germany

Tasks:

  • Source data preparation (e.g., electronic navigational charts, vector data, aerial photographs) and processing using, for example, ENC Designer, partly according to specifications
  • Creation of digital content, e.g.:
  • Terrain databases with views and data for control in, for example, simulated virtual worlds using, for example, TRIAN3DBuilder
  • Ensuring that various extensive technical requirements and data formats of the simulators from the individual business sections are taken into account
  • Management and maintenance of digital content (using version management software, e.g., Perforce, and status/library generation using, e.g., Team City)
  • Compliance with the quality standard of generated databases on Team City (extensive analysis of the log file in the event of generation errors, verification of the cause, preparation and handover of a problem report and repro case to the responsible developers or external providers)
  • Ensuring compliance with project-specific requirements
  • Implementation of quality assurance measures for databases (input data checking and database acceptance, testing of databases on the target system, checking of delivery statuses before delivery to the customer)
  • Provision and integration of databases and control data on the target system for the Visual segment, primarily according to specifications
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation (e.g., workflow description of databases in Confluence, training materials for source data preparation and database creation, specifications, etc.)
  • Consultation with subcontractors (creation of problem reports for the UAN, creation of reproductions for the UAN, creation of briefings/specifications for the UAN, answering technical questions from the UAN, acceptance and testing of incoming UAN deliveries)
  • Preparation of time estimates for quantity structures in your own field of activity
  • Conducting customer training courses and workshops for databases

Requirements:

  • Completed training in graphic design or games academy or comparable, with several years of professional experience
  • Good knowledge of TRIAN3DBuilder or comparable tools
  • Experience in the 3D, real-time, or gaming industry
  • Very good understanding of the functionality and technical fundamentals of
  • 3D real-time applications
  • Experience in working with subcontractors and conducting customer training
  • Good written and spoken English, especially technical English
  • Convincing and authentic manner
  • Communication and teamwork skills
