We are currently seeking for our Headquarter in Hamburg a highly motivated and dedicated

 

Junior Group Business Controller (all genders)

Full-time and permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation and analysis of KPIs for enabling functions, contributing to monthly reporting packages that help stakeholders understand performance drivers  
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collection, consolidation, and variance analysis  
  • Work closely with senior finance team members to provide financial inputs for decision support, helping turn numbers into meaningful business insights  
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders (SG&A, IT, R&D, etc.) to understand financial needs and ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
  • Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including cost center reviews and initiating corrective journal entries
  • Help maintain key internal controls, including those related to SOX compliance and documentation of financial processes  
  • Support the development of reports and dashboards using tools like Excel and Power BI, contributing to more efficient, data-driven reporting  
  • Participate in improvement projects, such as process standardization or reporting automation, gaining exposure to best practices in global finance

Required qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent  
  • Initial professional working experience in a similar role, ideally within life sciences / pharmaceutical sector, and/or within a public/global company  
  • Experience of working in an international environment  
  • Experience in a Group Business Controlling Environment  
  • Business fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Further ideal qualifications:

  • Experience with PCAOB and Sarbanes Oxley a plus  
  • Advanced IFRS knowledge  
  • German a plus
