About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Controls Specialist to support our Finance Department in ensuring robust compliance frameworks, policy governance, and internal control structures. This role will serve both the parent company and subsidiaries across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with group standards and regulatory requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent documentation habits, and a proactive mindset. The role involves regular coordination with international teams, requiring fluent English and good German

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks across the group
  • Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements for all group entities
  • Coordinate and align internal control activities across the parent and subsidiary companies
  • Assist in the documentation and communication of policy changes and control updates
  • Monitor risk areas and propose improvements to strengthen compliance and governance structures
  • Act as a liaison between finance, legal, and operational teams to promote consistent application of group-wide standards
  • Maintain high-quality records and reports to support internal and external audits

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in compliance, internal controls, or policy governance (ideally in an international setting)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and structured documentation habits
  • Ability to manage cross-border communication and work independently with remote teams
  • Understanding of financial regulatory environments and corporate governance best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English (C1) and good German (B2)
