Product Safety & Compliance/Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

In this key role you own post‑market compliance across our European markets (EU & UK): you handle customer complaints, quality issues, field feedback and regulatory inquiries, drive technical investigations & risk assessments, and ensure findings are integrated into our Compliance Management System.

What you'll do

1. Post-Market Compliance & Regulatory Liaison

  • Run and evolve a robust Post Market Compliance Process (intake, triage, documentation, escalation).
  • Act as primary liaison for market surveillance authorities (EU/UK) and external labs/certification bodies.
  • Oversee documentation, tracking, and evaluation of post-market events in the Compliance Management System (CMS).

2. Incident Management, Risk & Continuous Improvement

  • Investigate field issues and returns (teardown, measurement, documentation), coordinate root cause analysis with Quality/Engineering/Manufacturing and suppliers.
  • Perform risk assessments (severity/likelihood) and initiate preventative/corrective actions.
  • Provide internal training and guidance on incident handling, corrective actions, and reporting obligations.

What you'll bring

  • Degree in Engineering, Product Safety, Quality Management, Legal, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years in product compliance, field quality, complaints/warranty or post‑market - ideally within consumer/juvenile goods, automotive, bike/e‑mobility or durable goods.
  • Solid grasp of European regulations and experience with authority inquiries.
  • Experience with handling regulatory authority inquiries, product complaints, and field returns.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent in English; German or other European languages are a plus.
  • Collaborative, analytical, decisive; comfortable working cross‑functionally and across time zones.
