YOUR TASKS

  • End-to-End Quality Strategy: Design, lead, and execute a comprehensive QA strategy that ensures the reliability, performance, and quality of our entire platform from the autonomy software on our robots to the cloud backend, AI-driven data analysis, and the customer-facing web UI.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and grow the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of quality across the organization by mentoring team members, defining best practices, and championing the importance of robust testing throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Integrated Test Automation: Architect and implement scalable and maintainable automated testing frameworks. Drive the automation of regression, integration, and performance tests across our distributed system, including API testing, UI validation, and simulated robotic workflows.
  • System & Hardware-in-the-Loop Testing: Develop and manage test plans for our mixed fleet of mobile robots including testing in both high-fidelity simulations and on physical hardware, validating everything from sensor data integrity and autonomous navigation to payload operation and robot-to-cloud communication.
  • Cloud & AI Validation: Establish processes for validating our cloud services and AI-powered inspection skills. Define methodologies for testing data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy of AI-generated insights, and verifying the scalability and security of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting: Integrate QA processes seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines. Establish key quality metrics, track and analyze defects, and provide clear, actionable feedback to development teams to continuously improve product quality and development velocity.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • QA Leadership Experience: +5 Proven experience in a QA Lead or Senior QA role, with a track record of defining test strategies and leading testing efforts for complex software products.
  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, Cypress) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python is highly preferred).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like GitLab or Jenkins in a Linux/Ubuntu environment.

  • System-Level Thinking: A holistic understanding of complex, distributed systems. You can reason about failure points and quality challenges that span across hardware, embedded software, cloud services, and web frontends.

  • Passion for Quality: A deep-seated passion for quality assurance and a relentless drive to ensure products are not just functional, but also robust, reliable, and user-friendly.
  • Adaptability & Collaboration: An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. You are a strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with software developers, product managers, and robotics engineers to achieve shared quality goals.

Helpful Additional Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with robotics, particularly with ROS1/ROS2 environments and simulation tools (e.g., IsaacSim, Gazebo).
  • Experience testing systems that incorporate AI/Machine Learning components, including data validation and model performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and backend technologies (e.g., GraphQL, databases, microservices architecture).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of video streaming technologies (e.g., GStreamer, WebRTC, RTSP) is a significant plus.
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams, effectively utilizing collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or GitLab.
  • Willingness to attend on-site events every 6 weeks for 3 consecutive days at the office.
