Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the strategic roadmap for compiler technology projects, aligning with organizational goals and market trends.
  • Analyze customer requirements, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to identify areas of growth and innovation in compiler technology.
  • Collaborate closely with development or functional teams to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable product specifications.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, from ideation to release, ensuring that milestones are met in alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and prioritize project tasks, maintaining an organized backlog to achieve timely and impactful releases.
  • Work with marketing teams to craft targeted campaigns and materials that effectively communicate the value of our compiler technology.
  • Provide training to customer support teams, ensuring a thorough understanding of new features and their benefits.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with partners, customers, and advisors, strengthening our ecosystem.
  • Conduct market research and gather stakeholder feedback to guide feature prioritization and product enhancements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate both innovations and standards into product strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc, MSc or Dipl.-Ing. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a business degree with strong technical knowledge of compilers or embedded systems.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in product or project management, ideally within the compiler, embedded systems, or software development domains.
  • Solid understanding of compiling tools and standards.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset for identifying and addressing market needs.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical and business concepts.

Added value:

  • Familiarity with modern compiler architectures, such as LLVM or MLIR.
  • Experience managing products or projects involving heterogeneous computing systems, or special architectures.
  • Established relationships with the open-source compiler community or experience contributing to these.
  • Understanding the role of compilers in energy-efficient computing technologies.
  • Expertise in creating and analyzing benchmarks to evaluate performance across different metrics.
