IT System Administrator / Consultant (Linux, Security) – €80,000

A Darmstadt-based software company, known for its cutting-edge encryption and data protection solutions, is looking for someone to take on a central role in their technical operations.

With more than 20 years in the market, they've built a reputation as one of Europe's most trusted names in security and cryptography — helping clients keep their most sensitive data safe in the cloud.

The Mission:

You'll join a small, close-knit infrastructure team responsible for keeping both internal systems and client environments running smoothly. It's a hybrid role that combines classic Linux system administration with customer-facing consulting — perfect for someone who enjoys solving technical problems and communicating directly with users.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, networks, and firewalls
  • Support customer installations and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Coordinate onboarding of new employees and ensure smooth IT operations
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to resolve infrastructure challenges
  • Work closely with clients to ensure their systems run securely and efficiently

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong Linux system administration skills
  • A proactive, communicative mindset — you enjoy helping people and solving problems
  • Experience with networking, DNS, or firewall management
  • Fluent
    German (C1)
    and solid English
  • Ideally, a background as
    Fachinformatiker Systemintegration
    or equivalent practical experience
