The Opportunity

Under the direction of the Transportation Manager/ Planner, the Transportation Coordinator supports all inbound and outbound load plans for the distribution center. The Transportation Coordinator monitors all site related traffic activities to ensure compliance with corporate transportation's strategic goals and assures that freight is handled expediently with fiscal responsibility.

Your Impact

• Communicates and coordinates movements of equipment to the yard drivers for the different departments.

• Monitor and record cube use through established base lines of cost per unit.

• Record and transmit data to multiple USPS/UPS hubs to ensure accurate forecasting arrival and departure information.

• Prepare and publish weekly and monthly service reports for all areas of outbound and inbound shipments. These include the UPS line haul, RTV shipments, cost avoidance, show control, in bound trailer aging, and prepaid/collect freight concerns.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience is required.

• 1 to 2 years of transportation related experience is required of which a broad knowledge of a high volume fulfillment operation has been attained through routing and logistics

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Proficiency in using various computer applications

• Ability to stand/sit or work on elevated surfaces for duration of shift

• Must be able to work assigned shift hours and additional hours when necessary to meet business needs.

Work Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 7:00AM - 5:45PM

Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
