A Snapshot of Your Day
You will represent Voith Hydro as a technical expert in driving project success by orchestrating schedules, analyzing risks, and keeping all stakeholders aligned for seamless execution.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Develop and maintain the project schedule by integrating inputs from all functions, units, and third parties contributing to the project.
- Serve as a key member of the project team, providing schedule status updates to the Project Manager and other project members (Chief Project Engineer, Lead Engineer, Sourcing Manager and Site Manager).
- Communicate schedule status to the Project Manager, Function Responsible, suppliers and third parties.
- Conduct schedule analysis to identify project risks and opportunities and collaborate with the project team to implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide look-ahead, backlog, and future late reporting with prioritizations to clearly communicate potential and real risks, driving project priorities.
- Ensure contractually required customer reporting is completed and communicate directly with customers on scheduling matters.
- Prepare critical path analyses and work with multiple critical and near-critical paths.
- Generate "what-if" scenarios to optimize execution and collaborate with project teams to evaluate feasibility.
- Align with the cost-controlling function to ensure clear alignment between cost and schedule for accurate project execution.
- Organize and lead timely Planning Reviews with the project team to address schedule issues and define/validate mitigation plans.
- Prepare delay analyses to support the creation of EOT claims.
What You Bring
- Degree in engineering or a comparable field, with several years of professional experience in planning and/or controlling.
- At least 7 years of experience in project planning as part of a project team.
- Proficient in applying planning control principles (WBS, critical path, progress and OTD).
- Experience with planning tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera, including interfaces with cost control and workload management.
- Proactive communication and problem-solving attitude, strong team spirit, critical analysis of available data, rigor and transparency and the ability to contribute to decision-making processes.
