Largest SPA complex in the world is now recruiting a new Food and Bar Director

We are looking for an
F&B Director in Germany
to manage seven restaurants with a combined turnover of tens of millions of euros and millions of guests annually, for
Therme Erding
.

Therme Group
is a multinational company and the world leader in "urban retreat and wellbeing for all." A few months ago, Therme Group announced a strategic partnership with the investment fund CVC Capital Partners, which includes a capital infusion exceeding €1 billion. This partnership will support the global expansion of Therme's network of integrated wellbeing destinations.

Therme Erding (near Munich) is currently the largest urban wellbeing destination in the world, with 2 million visitors per year, but it will soon be surpassed by Therme Manchester, which is under construction and 50% larger. Therme Bucharest, with 1.6 million visitors annually, is also undergoing a major expansion that will nearly double its capacity.

Other Therme projects currently under development — similar in scale and concept — are located in Toronto, Washington, and Incheon (Korea), each comparable in size to Manchester, as well as in Dubai and Singapore, with investments of around US $500 million per site.

The new F&B Director will report to the General Director of Therme Erding and will enjoy a high level of autonomy, including
P&L responsibility
, effectively acting as the General Manager of the restaurant division. The position offers an excellent salary and is based in Germany, under German employment law.

Candidates must have relevant management experience in large-scale operations of similar concept, structure, and complexity, and must speak
German
.

The role:

• The new F&B Director has overall responsibility for F&B organization, processes, and quality - from scheduling and inventory management to service excellence and customer experience.
• Developing and monitoring F&B standards as well as guest satisfaction are key tasks for this role.
• Implementing the newest concepts in the F&B field based on food trends and customer's preferences is always in focus.
• Coordinating procurement process and suppliers auditing and selection is also a priority.
• Ensuring flawless compliance with legal regulations in the field of food services at the company level.

Requirements
:

• Higher education in Economics/Hospitality.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles in relevant sized companies.
• Financial management (solid budgeting and cost control) skills are a must.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills as well as experience in managing relevant sized teams are a priority.

Anforderungen
:

• Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium im Bereich Wirtschaft oder Hotellerie/Gastronomie
• Mindestens 10 Jahre Berufserfahrung in vergleichbaren Positionen in Unternehmen ähnlicher Größe und Komplexität
• Ausgeprägte Finanzmanagement-, Budgetierungs- und Kostenkontrollfähigkeiten
• Exzellente Führungs- und Sozialkompetenzen sowie Erfahrung in der Leitung großer Teams

Aufgaben
:

• Gesamtverantwortung für die F&B-Organisation, Prozesse und Qualität – von der Einsatzplanung und Lagerverwaltung bis hin zu Service-Exzellenz und Kundenerlebnis
• Entwicklung und Überwachung von F&B-Standards sowie der Gästefzufriedenheit
• Implementierung der neuesten Food-Trends und Konzepte entsprechend den Kundenpräferenzen
• Koordination der Beschaffungsprozesse, Lieferantenauswahl und Audits
• Sicherstellung der vollständigen Einhaltung aller gesetzlichen Vorschriften im Bereich Gastronomie
