Local Unit & Position Description:
DNV Group Compliance’s purpose is to maintain and develop DNV’s compliance management system according to ISO Standard 37301 with focus areas on anti-corruption, anti-trust, export control/sanctions and personal data protection provide consulting services and is designed to add value and improve DNV’s operations. All processes and entities in DNV are within scope.
Group Compliance works in Hamburg, Germany and Høvik, Norway and consists of 4 members plus the Global Data Protection Officer. The Group Compliance Officer reports functionally to the Board Audit Committee (BAC) and the Group CEO and reports administratively to the Chief People Officer.
**Area of Responsibility**
- Legal advice on all topics under the scope of Group Compliance with a strong focus on personal data protection
- Continuously improve DNV’s privacy program through new initiatives in cooperation with internal data protection managers based on annual risk assessment
- Monitor and implement new legal requirements globally
- Drive awareness through communication measures incl. global training initiatives
- Develop and update instructions and guidelines across all business functions and support development of respective business area processes
- Drive global compliance networks on a regular basis to keep awareness on a high level and facilitate interaction with the needs of the business areas
- Support Global Data Protection Officer in handling of cases related to personal data protection breaches
- Handle compliance cases related to all topics in Group Compliance in alignment with other internal units
Position Qualifications:
- Fully qualified lawyer
- 5-6 years of professional experience in compliance and data protection in an international environment
- Experience in leading multinational projects
- Professional fluency in English and German, Scandinavian language skills desired
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to work both as an individual and collaboratively in teams
- Result-orientated and action-driven with the ability to inspire people
