Support financial statements, consolidation, IFRS updates, M&A accounting, audits, policy implementation, system optimization & training at SEFE.
**IN SHORT**:
The role in Group Accounting (M/F/d) at SEFE involves supporting the preparation of financial statements, consolidation entries, and the review of financial instruments, coordinating with reporting units and auditors, contributing to M&A accounting and group-wide policies, communicating IFRS updates, optimizing systems, and conducting training sessions.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Responsible for preparation of the annual, quarterly and monthly financial statements for the SEFE Group, including the notes and management report, in line with deadline and quality requirements.
- Review the reporting data to confirm completeness and accuracy, and make the necessary consolidation bookings. Timely and high-quality reporting to shareholder and other stakeholders.
- Review of financial instrument and Hedge Accounting disclosures.
- Serve as the contact partner for employees from the reporting units and the auditors.
- Responsible for accounting for M&A projects in the consolidated financial statements.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining corporate guidelines.
- Providing information to subsidiaries and SEFE units regarding IFRS updates and changes in the SEFE Group Accounting unit, e.g. in seminars or Group Accounting meetings.
- Participate in enhancing and maintaining the financial consolidation software and reporting automation, taking into account the interests of other SEFE units.
- Provide training on specialized topics associated with Group Accounting.
- Assumption of other Group Accounting activities and topics as required.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**:

- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or related field.
- Several years of experience in a Big4 audit firm specialized on e.g Energy business, international large scale companies or financial instruments and Hedge accounting under IFRS 9.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS: business segments, national and international subsidiaries, consolidation and group accounting.
- Solid understanding of business processes and controls, ability to analyse and re-engineer processes to adapt to new activities.
- Confident handling of common accounting software, e.g. SAP/ERP (S/4 HANA) and MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Independent, self-reliant way of working, highly motivated and proactive individual and team player, as well as good analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with a variety of stakeholders within an organization.
- Business fluent in German and English.
