Ihre Aufgaben - A doctorate degree in a basic research discipline (including, but not limited to Molecular and Computational Biology, (Bio)Chemistry, (Bio)Physics), preferably obtained < 3 years ago. - Strong research output and exceptional scientific promise given the applicants’ career stage. - Eagerness to contribute to interdisciplinary research in any of the three major clinical UMG foci—Neurosciences, Cardiovascular Medicine and Oncology. - Commitment to a (mandatory) research secondment at a lab outside the UMG. Ihre Qualifikationen - A vibrant, multidisciplinary and internationally-visible research environment. - Generous support for projects costs, as well as for traveling and scientific networking. - Additional support, upon external review, for developing the College’s fellows own research direction. - Tailored introduction to the College’s fellows clinical discipline of choice. - On-campus mentoring and “soft skills” training programs. - Integration into ongoing research consortia and structures (e.g., EKFZ, MBExC, CRU5002). Wir bieten - CV (up to 2 pages) detailing academic training and achievements. - List of research output, e.g. peer-reviewed papers, preprints, presentations in conferences. - Comprehensive (up to 3 pages) description of the proposed research project, incl. its scientific rationale, clinical relevance, research objectives and expected costs, as well as how it is expected to advance the fellow’s career. - Letters of reference from at least two established researchers or previous mentors. - Letter from the prospective UMG host department detailing its (material, infrastructure or personnel) support, as well as the expected contribution of the fellow to their research. - Selection of primary (UMG) and secondary mentors (external), including the rationale for the duration of the stay (for at least 3 and no more than 9 months) and the scientific work to be undertaken during the secondment.
