The Collaborative Research Centre 1442 Geometry: “Deformations and Rigidity” in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a

**Postdoctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche/*r Mitarbeiter/*in, salary level TV-L E 13, 100%**:
to commence at the earliest possible date. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for 3 years. Currently, the regular full employment time is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.

The position is in Hans-Joachim Hein’s and Gustav Holzegel’s joint CRC-project B06 “Einstein 4- manifolds with two commuting Killing vectors”. The general topic of this project is the study of gravitational instantons (existence, uniqueness, classification) and rigidity problems for black hole spacetimes in general relativity.

- Establish your research profile in our stimulating research environment.
- Contribute independent scientific research related to the CRC research area.

This position is designed to support the pursuit of further qualification for an academic career.

**Our expectations**:

- You hold a strong doctorate in in a subfield of Geometric Analysis.
- You have a strong working knowledge of elliptic PDEs and Riemannian geometry.
- You are experienced with one or more of the following would be desirable: Gravitational instantons, symmetry reductions of geometric PDEs, analysis on noncompact or singular spaces, general relativity
- You conduct independent scientific work and also collaborate in a team.
- You show a high level of ambition for, commitment to and enjoyment in scientific work.
- You speak and write English fluently. German language skills are not required.
