**Data Scientist (mf/d)**

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONISBILITIES**
- Collaborate with scientists (M/F/d), project managers (M/F/fd), IT engineers (M/F/d) and others to identify opportunities for leveraging scientific data to drive business solutions
- Identify digital use cases within Preclinical Development (PCD) and consult business functions during implementation
- Scout and drive operational processes for digitalization in PCD
- Design and ensure data quality and data governance standards
- Ensure adherence to required standards such as CDISC SEND and optimize processes related to this standard
- Active contribution in data sharing initiatives and establishment of expert networks

**WHO YOU ARE**
- University degree in data science, bioinformatics, computational life sciences or in a related field, PhD is a plus
- Sound programming and technical skills in the area of data harmonization, pipeline driven data analysis (e. g. using R or Python) and data visualization (e. g. R Shiny, Spotfire, Tableau)
- Practical experience with cloud solutions, interfaces and database systems (e. g. SQL or Oracle)
- Experience with software suites such as KNIME or Pipeline Pilot is a plus
- Knowledge of Standard for Exchange of Nonclinical Data (SEND) format and terminology and understanding of preclinical safety and drug development processes
- Capability to manage a very high degree of complexity as well as to present complex issues clearly and convincingly to project teams and business functions
- High degree of flexibility, loyality and motivation as well as good analytical skills and problem solving mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently as well as cross functionally in diverse teams
- Fluent English and German skills, both written and spoken
