Finance Associate

**About the role**:
We believe that flexibility and trust allow you to thrive You'll be a major contributor to running the Financial Operations across our entities. You will work closely with Operations colleagues and cross-functional team members from Growth to Engineering.

Our Finance Associate will also support the Executive team by engaging in special, high velocity projects that will range across all functional areas of the company, while making sure that our day-to-day operations run smoothly.

**What you'll be doing**:
As our Finance Associate, you'll be working on:

- ** Accounting Processes**: Manage and execute monthly accounting tasks, with our partner firms.
- ** Budgeting & Team Spending**:Manage team budgets using G-Sheets and preferred SaaS, e.g. Moss, Quickbooks.
- ** Reporting**:Prepare detailed spend reports to team
- and executive leadership.
- ** Payroll Administration**: Lead payroll processes, incl. managing platforms like Deel and Datev.
- ** Multisig Operations**: Support multisig/ wallet operations for the Evmos Foundation using Gnosis Safe, and Anchorage.
- ** Financial Reporting**: Prepare financial reports to monthly investor briefings to keep stakeholders informed.
- ** Special Projects**: Support Operations Leadership with special projects related to Human Resources, Legal and Finance.

Additional tasks might include:

- ** Vendor Negotiations**: Negotiate and constantly lower operating cost with external vendors (e.g., SaaS companies).
- ** Salary Negotiations**:Advise on salary negotiations for new team members.
- ** Treasury Management**: Execute treasury management strategy effectively.
- ** Strategic Planning**: Define strategies to add more value to the Evmos ecosystem.

**Who we're looking for**:
We're looking for an experienced Finance Associate - for us, the important thing is that you want to know what makes growth-phase startups tick; you're solution-oriented, structured and very comfortable with numbers
- Have previous experience in Banking, Finance
- or Strategy Consulting.
- Work autonomously creating their own goals and desired outcomes for the role.
- Demonstrate excellent, proactive communication skills.
- Share knowledge and provide support when needed.
- Learn and work with completely new technologies.
- Adapt quickly to the evolving needs of the team and the project.
- Take the initiative to propose or explore solutions for improvement
- Communicate fluently in English (verbal and written)
- Communicate fluently in German (verbal and written)

**It's also nice to have experience with**:

- ** Blockchain/ Crypto tokens**:Accounting processes of a Crypto/Blockchain company.
- ** Compliance**: Solving legal and compliance questions across German & international entities.
- ** Notion**: for project/task management, and presenting research & recommendation to Executives.
