We are looking for you, an Expert for Technical Surfaces and Painting in BA UX (M/F/diverse), to support our Business Area at the location Babenhausen.

Your tasks will focus on the following activities:

- Establishing and extending an expert field for Technical Surfaces and Painting within BA UX
- Technology development from a chemical perspective, being involved in the product component manufacturing strategy and setup for coating and painting technologies
- Definition of appropriate painting and coating materials and processes for BA UX products from a chemical point of view
- Chemical characterization of paints and coatings within component specifications
- Introduction and specification of new materials matching with the requirements of our products
- Supporting chemistry relevant qualification failure analysis and being the technical counterpart for suppliers and customers on correspondent topics
- Driving specific technology scouting, focusing on surface technologies and painting processes
- Supporting the creation of roadmaps and solutions benchmarking from own expert area perspective
- Building up a network with suppliers, equipment manufacturers, technology institutes and universities

**Qualifications**
- Academic degree in engineering or similar qualification
- Basic understanding of the applied chemical processes on products for BA UX (e.g. Display Solutions and HUD’s)
- Deep understanding in chemical / physical aspects like viscosity or adhesion properties and the corresponding measurement and evaluation methods
- Advanced knowledge in chemistry field with focus on surface and painting technologies and their interaction with plastic and die-cast components advantageous
- Advanced knowledge on different surface technologies (e.g. painting, sputtering, etc.) desirable
- Systematic analysis of potential paint or coating, materials and combinations (tools like problem-solving, DOE, DFSS,...) advantageous
- Knowledge in working with MS Office, as well as creating presentations, standards and trainings
- Fluent English language skills written and spoken, German language skills desirable
- Ability to build up a network and experienced in working in cross-functional and international teams
- Hands on mentality and experienced in challenging work environment as well as escalations
