Job DescriptionWe are looking for a student (m/f/diverse) starting in February/March to write a thesis in the area of research literature review, reliability evaluation, and storage guidelines for stepper motors. As part of your thesis, we offer you an attractive opportunity to ideally combine and expand your theoretical knowledge with different aspects of practical experience. You will work closely with our team and gain insights into exciting projects and processes.The following activities will be the main focus:Conduct a comprehensive literature review on reliability engineering, ageing processes, and storage guidelines for electromechanical componentsPropose a framework for reliability evaluation and recommendations for future improvementsIdentify reliability test methods (temperature, humidity, vibration, and other stress factors)Define storage specification guidelines for stepper motors, including suitable environmental conditions and ageing considerationsPerform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for stepper motors to identify critical failure pointsCollect and evaluate experimental or historical reliability data and perform data analysis to derive insightsQualificationsEnrolled in a master’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Reliability Engineering, or a related fieldStrong interest in electromechanical systems, reliability analysis, and material ageing processesExperience with data analysis tools (Excel pivot tables, Office 365, PowerPoint)Good technical knowledge, ability to perform calculations, analytical thinking, and evaluation skillsBasic knowledge of FMEA methodology as well as principles of reliability engineering and familiarity with stepper motors would be a plusVery good English skills (written and spoken); German is helpful.Enjoyment of communication, planning, and organizational skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilities as well as flexibility Please remember to upload your current certificate of enrollment, your current transcript of records, and an excerpt from your current study regulations regarding the completion of a mandatory internship, as these are essential for processing your applicationIf applicable, please also submit a valid residence permit and your work authorization including the supplementary sheet.Applications from people with severe disabilities are welcome.Additional InformationIndependent and responsible workHybrid working at the office and from homePleasant working environment and a culture characterized by professional and personal appreciationCompensation according to corporate standardsGood public transport connections and free use of employee parking spaces  If you see yourself in this position and are excited to work with us on exciting projects, apply now and become part of our teamDiversity, inclusion, and belonging are important to us and make us strong and successful as a company.
