Program Associate

**Duties**:

- Motivates children to develop ?Kindergarten Etiquette? skills, knowledge and behaviors that build a strong foundation for school success such as taking turns, raising hands, walking in a line, etc.
- Provides supervision, oversight, and accountability for children in compliance with DoD, Army and local policies, guidance, and standards. Maintains staff/child ratio requirements.
- Evaluates academic and social growth of children and maintains appropriate records. Observes children for signs that may indicate illness, abuse or neglect and reports as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
- All required background checks of AR 215-3, must be successfully completed and maintained including Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI); to include a health assessment is required.
- Successful completion of prescribed training (transition and/or annual) is required.
- Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility as determined by medical authority.
- In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area may routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.

**Qualifications**:
**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:
Meet Target-level requirements and satisfactory performance. Possess eighteen (18) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth.
- Possesses and maintain a Child Development Associate (CDA) or Military School-Age Credential.**OR**

Possess twelve (12) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth and hold an Associates' degree with a major emphasis in early childhood education or child development.
