**What we need from you**

As a Data Scientist (d/f/m) at Vermietet.de, you will be responsible for business analysis and insights holistically across commercial-, user-, and qualitative data. You will be the data and analytics sparring partner to the Business Leads and work daily to uncover business insights that will help guide business success in our key markets and drive strategic decision-making based on numbers.

In addition to having a strong analytical background, you are a natural communicator who is able to explain and simplify complex frameworks and break down complex problems into their components. You're curious with a good business understanding and comfortable with numbers and therefore able to translate them into relevant actionable insights.
- Analyze and further develop different earning streams and growth opportunities with a focus on structuring and problem-solving in complex business environment
- Support the Leadership team on key business initiatives and analysis that shapes future strategic decisions as well as ad-hoc strategically relevant deep dives
- Help drive quant and qual actionable insights to the with a focus on growth and monetization for senior management
- Go beyond tracking the performance of market-important business metrics but instead take an active role to help steer the business based on day-to-day analytics and insights from a numbers perspective
- Maintain strong working relationships across teams, advancing the commercial perspective

**What you need to bring**
- Experience in commercial environments, preferably experience from start-ups or other previous fast-pace environments such as consulting, banking or the VC/PE space
- Comfortable with operating independently in a complex, fast-paced work environment with a drive to deliver results backed up numbers
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and are additionally comfortable with making compelling visualization and presentations in PowerPoint / Google Slides
- You are a self-starter with excellent stakeholder and time-management skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and who takes pride in their final deliverables
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field
