Cluster Financial Controller

**REGIONAL FINANCIAL CONTROLLER **- BERLIN**
We need an experienced and commercially astute finance leader to lead our Finance team for Generator - Berlin Mitte, Berlin Alexanderplatz, Prenzlauer Berg & Hamburg based out of our Berlin office. As a Regional Financial Controller, you will be ensuring that all accounting processes and procedures are completed efficiently and accurately. You will be fully responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function and work closely with property General Manager’s and Head Office Finance team based in London.

The property is under renovation with a bar, summer garden and building of a future café.

**Hamburg** - Located in the heart of the city, opposite Hauptbahnhof station. John, Paul, George and Ringo once recorded here before they hit the big time. Now it's a hostel, a bar, a morning café, an art house and a favourite neighbourhood hangout. With work by local artist Till Keifer and design touches such as exposed brick walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, you'll feel right at home in this smart and cosy hostel.

**NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB**
- Prepare and file annual tax returns and be the point of contact with the tax office and tax advisers
- Manage and review hotel finance processes and compliance with group SOPs
- Manage financial reporting and communication with third party owners and landlords
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and property reports
- Oversee all financial accounts, prepare financial statements and liaise with external auditors to ensure annual audits are carried out
- Take responsibility for property cash flow, preparing weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
- Prepare and supervise banking operations, oversee loans and other financial instruments
- Manage the preparation of annual budgets with the GM’s & Produce quarterly forecasts
- Manage the day to day operations e.g. credit control, payroll, flash reports
- Prepare benchmarking analysis on key financial revenues/expenditure
- Manage the Accounts Payable function and purchase procedures
- Work as a business partner with the management team and GM’s
- Communicate effectively and appropriately in all directions so that all teams understand their financial responsibilities and are motivated to achieve them
- Support the Group CFO and Head of Finance on finance projects as required
