**What you will do**:
We have just raised a $25m Series B and are looking for new team members to power the next growth phase at Mimi.
To help us bring amazing hearing technology to more people around the world, we are looking for a
**Freelance financial controller**, reporting to the CFO for full-time employment in Berlin.
As our
**Freelance financial controller**, you will...
- Oversee/prepare management information and provide commentary and analysis on performance against budget/ target
- Develop and maintain short and long-term financial projections and create scenarios that help leaders envision the impact of different decisions
- Structure data and drive ROI-based decision-making in a fast-paced environment
- Manage cash planning and control/bank relations
- Ensure that Mimi’s management, board, and shareholders understand business progress via regular quantitative and qualitative reports
- Support CEO and CFO on fundraising / corporate financing processes as well as company transactions
- Work with CFO and corporate counsel on corporate law topics (e.g. board & shareholder resolutions, cap table)
- Maintain a best-in-class accounting setup and processes
**What you bring to the table**:
- 3-5 years of extensive working experience in controlling/operational finance
- Experience working with a Series B or Series C startup
- Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem-solving skills and excellent use of logic
- Experience in performing cost analysis
- Mastery of Excel and financial modelling
- Commercial and business acumen, strategic planning
- A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
- Ability to stick to time constraints

- Experience in an international audit firm
- Transaction services/ M&A experience
- MBA and/or CPA
- German fluency
