Tasks

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Leader to guide our technical strategy and shape the future of Avrios’ Engineering organization.

As our VP of Engineering, you’ll manage a talented team of engineering managers and, through them grow a strong team of backend and full-stack engineers, build relationships with customers and product teams, and work on initiatives that trajectory altering for Avrios.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the fleet and mobility industry.

You will
- Empower your team to figure out what they need to do, how to do it and to get it done by providing the necessary context to understand their priorities and focus
- Balance tactical and strategic work with your team to achieve quarterly objectives and deliver on the strategy for our vision
- Collaborate closely with Product leadership and the CEO to ensure we provide a top-notch product to our customers
- Attract, hire, and retain top-tier software engineers that are amongst the best in the industry

**Who we are looking for**:

- An exceptional technology leader
- A strong communicator and translator. You’re able to thoughtfully and clearly explain the fundamental reasons behind your decisions and layout your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative with the ability to translate technical challenges into business language and vice versa
- You love being part of a fast-growing startup while also contributing to its maturity
- You have struck an effective balance of people management skills and technical leadership

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience as a technical engineering lead
- 5+ years of people management and people development skills, making a big impact for a fast-growing company with a technology-powered product
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
- PLUS: Experience in fleet management or the automotive industry
