**Job Purpose/Role**:
The data analytics team as part of the Finance function at Allianz Direct provides key stakeholders with appropriate information, analyses and recommendations to steer the company on a value-based approach.

We are looking for an experienced colleague who is committed to data and insurance as we do, with a “nothing-is-impossible” mindset. As a Lead - Data Analytics (M/F/d) you will provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of cloud-based data & analytics platforms to enable data-driven decisions.

As a Lead, you will own the end-to-end management of data & analytics tools and platforms to deliver high quality data-driven insights for business strategy and operations.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Driver of our digital transformation roadmap and responsible for delivering the analytics solutions for the domain Finance at Allianz Direct.
- Lead and manage multiple projects in the area of data analytics using appropriate agile project management frameworks and methodologies.
- Providing technical and strategic advice to the data analytics development and support teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
- Manage a team of analysts, sharing and promoting knowledge, skills and best working practices within the team.
- Key-player in planning, coordination, and monitoring of project progress
- With the goal of improving financial performance, translate business requirements into concrete technical solutions by developing end-to-end solutions for our stakeholders, including data preparation, reporting and dashboarding.
- Develop data solutions with different stakeholders, leveraging data to optimize and evolve Allianz Direct by identifying potential improvements in data usage on a specific business use case and drive the functional changes.
- Work in close collaboration with the central data team, other data analysts, data scientists, engineers and product & process teams to drive analytics topics and enable data-supported decision making.

**Qualifications/Key skills**:

- Academic degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems or related field of study.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate data insights to drive business decisions.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in the area of data analytics, ideally in consulting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and profound experience in leading and delivering large and complex data analytics solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to partner, present and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes
- Profound experience in data engineering, data modeling and data visualization with high fluency in SQL and Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI.
- Profound working experience with implementation of data and analytics projects in cloud-based architectures (e.g. Azure, AWS).
- Broad knowledge about insurance dynamics (Allianz knowledge of advantage), transformation initiatives and dependencies are a must.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working in a fast-paced dynamic team environment, with the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical audience.
- Agile project management certification or equivalent project management experience is a plus
- Fluent in Business English and German, additional languages are nice to have.
- Strong sense of cooperation and ability to work towards team success and willingness to challenge oneself and counterparties to strive for continuous improvement.
