Based on our mission to provide “impactful, agile and collaborative auditing that really matters”, Group Audit (GAudit) offers independent and objective assurance and consultation to various clients, including the Board of Management of MR as well as additional senior leaders of business and corporate functions within the Group.

As part of the global audit community, GAudit1.1 - Investments, IT & Data Analytics is looking for an expert in investment and asset management at the Group level for Group Investment Management, MEAG (Munich, New York, Hong Kong), MR Investment Partners, Munich Re Capital Markets and other subsidiaries and departments.

Your job
- Autonomously planning and executing audits in all areas of investment and asset management in an audit team lead role and/or as audit team member
- Preparing audit reports, communicating results and monitoring the implementation of agreed measures in close cooperation with the audit client
- Contributing to a risk-driven assessment of the audit universe and consecutive audit planning process
- Driving proactively the digital evolution of the audit community
- Acting as partner for the audited units and as investment and asset management expert for the global audit community
- Providing value-adding advice to the business on how to improve the system of governance, the risk management and internal control systems, as well as the operational processes or structures

**Profile**:

- University degree in economics, finance or business information technology or equivalent qualification
- 3 to 5 years of operational experience in investment and asset management, expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a benefit: portfolio management, trade processing, risk management, financial instruments accounting, and related regulatory framework (e.g., KAGB, KAMaRisk, MaRisk)
- Internal audit and international experience is an advantage
- CFA, CIA or other relevant certifications, or the willingness to obtain
- High degree of professionalism, confident and convincing manner, negotiating skills and assertiveness, ability to resolve conflicts effectively and pragmatically
- Proficient analytical, organisational, time and project management skills and a very good understanding of internal control frameworks
- Ability to prioritise and present complex topics in a concise manner as well as to see the big picture
- Competence to grasp new topics in a short period of time, commitment to continuous learning, proactively sharing knowledge, willingness to keep up with industry and regulatory developments
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Self-motivated, able to deal with changing priorities, willingness to take responsibility and to achieve high-quality results in a constantly changing environment
- Strong written & verbal communication in German and English
- Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
