**Job Purpose/Role** Audit is the home for those who dare to be curious, insightful, proactive and future-focused advisors. The Senior Internal Auditor (f/m/d) acts as a valued advisor to the business with in-depth knowledge of investment topics. The role is about advising managers and their departments and adding value to the business by identifying risks at an early stage and helping to improve internal controls. The Senior Internal Auditor analyses the effectiveness of governance structures and proceses, and checks if procedures are in compliance with internal and external regulations. In addition to communicating the audit results to auditees, the Senior Internal Auditor also proposes recommendations to close findings, writes audit reports, holds closing meetings and follows up on recommendations. The Senior Internal Auditor assumes responsibility for audit engagements and/or participates as a senior specialist in audits, in cooperation with the audit team and aligned with the Audit Manager. Additionally, the Senior Internal Auditor is also in charge for supporting the risk-based audit planning process and running projects to improve internal audit processes and methodology. A strong technical and ethical backbone is fundamental to Internal Audit's success. Independent from the job level, a Senior Internal Auditor should maintain appropriate technical skills as well as agility and a commitment to continuous learning. The ability to see the big picture is important for each audit engagement. Strong auditors therefore focus on targeted questions which allow them to verify information from different angles. **What you do** - Plan and lead audit assignments, - Define risk-based audit areas, business transactions, investment value chain related processes and control systems - Perform risk assessments and develop risk-oriented audit work programs - Determine deficiencies and vulnerabilities to be remedied, analyse and generate feasible recommendations for improvement of organizations and processes - Communicate effectively with stakeholders from all hierarchy levels with respect to deficiencies and recommendations for remediation - Create and develop conceptual audit ideas - Support and review auditor’s work (audit preparation, interviews, sample testing and report writing - Manage relationship with local audit departments in the Group **What you bring** - 5+ years of experience in the Financial Service Industry (Investment and/or Asset Management, Insurance, Banking, Corporate Finance) from a business, audit, risk management or consulting perspective - Familiarity with investment tools and programs (e.g. BBG) is a plus - Capacity to quickly comprehend, analyze, challenge status quo and make recommendations - Strong resilience and ability to work under pressure - Problem solving and can-Do attitude ("out-of-the box thinking") - Flexibility to work in agile teams and to establish a constructive working spirit - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as ability to listen well - Team spirit, high self-motivation and a proactive & cooperative working style, as well as intercultural competencies in a global work environment - Intellectual curiosity and willingness to travel - IT/Data analytics skillsand/or experience is a plus **Qualifications** - Strong academic background (e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Quantitative Methods) - CFA, FRM, Actuary is a plus - Audit certification (CIA, CISA) is an advantage - Good understanding of investment related processes and regulatory environment - Fluent in English; fluency in additional languages is a plus **What we offer** - Competitive compensation - Career Development Programs - Working in a dynamic team - Flexible working arrangements - Worldwide travel - Allianz Fringe Benefits as an Insurer **Additional Information**: Senior Recruiter: Ms. Daniela Lindig: +49 89 3800 2345 / +49 152 09261520 Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
