Job description
- Your tasks- Lead the monitoring of physical and financial energy trading activity (power, gas, emissions) for potential market manipulation, insider trading, and non-compliant behavior under MAR and REMIT II.- Investigate and document alerts; manage escalations and support any required remediation or reporting.- Design, implement, and calibrate surveillance tools and alert logic to ensure effective coverage and mínimal false positives jointly with our risk and compliance departments.- Serve as the primary liaison between risk, compliance, IT, and surveillance tool vendors during system enhancements.- Participate in user group discussions and advocate for our interests in best practice and surveillance tool development.- Ensure proper documentation of methods and procedures and support internal and external audits.- Share knowledge with team members while seeking continuous improvement oneself.
- Your profile- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Engineering, or related field.- Minimum 5 years of experience in trade surveillance, compliance, or regulatory risk within EU energy markets.-
- Proven experience implementing or optimizing trade surveillance tools.- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.- Strong analytical and investigative skills; proficiency in Excel and data analysis.- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written additional languages is a plus.
