Trade Surveillance Expert

Your tasks
- Lead the monitoring of physical and financial energy trading activity (power, gas, emissions) for potential market manipulation, insider trading, and non-compliant behavior under MAR and REMIT II.
- Investigate and document alerts; manage escalations and support any required remediation or reporting.
- Design, implement, and calibrate surveillance tools and alert logic to ensure effective coverage and mínimal false positives jointly with our risk and compliance departments.
- Serve as the primary liaison between risk, compliance, IT, and surveillance tool vendors during system enhancements.
- Participate in user group discussions and advocate for our interests in best practice and surveillance tool development.
- Ensure proper documentation of methods and procedures and support internal and external audits.
- Share knowledge with team members while seeking continuous improvement oneself.

**Profile**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in trade surveillance, compliance, or regulatory risk within EU energy markets.
- Proven experience implementing or optimizing trade surveillance tools.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills; proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written additional languages is a plus.
