The Director People will lead our fast-developing EMEA team who takes ownership for driving all People & Organization related topics in EMEA and who supports building a powerful organization together with the EMEA management team. In that role you will lead a team of People Business Partners, People Operations Specialist, and Payroll experts.
You will be responsible for all people and organizational topics in EMEA which includes managing our 5 entities in EMEA (Germany, Netherlands, Slovenia, France, UK) as well as working closely with our EOR provider to attract remote talent. You will be responsible for the whole employee life cycle of our EMEA team from onboarding, operations, employee development & engagement, performance management, payment as well as off-boarding. With your experience and empathic personality you act as a trusted advisor to our local leadership as well as liase with the global People team and internal & external stakeholders. We are seeking a strategic but still hands-on leader. A key characteristic in all you do, is your inner drive to design and structure processes as well as to provide an engaging employee experience.
**Director People (f/m/d)**
Connected remote and based in Germany, preferred Bonn region
**WHAT IS WAITING FOR YOU?**
- Define with EMEA leadership as well as global people team the strategic direction for our EMEA team and execute it - including implementation of people related processes
- Define in close alignment with senior leadership team headquarter related initiatives and implement them (e.g. initiatives regarding local employer branding)
- Oversee and take ownership for all people and organizational tasks to run the whole employee lifecycle including payroll preparation and managing EOR provider
- Implement and adapt key people initiatives including performance management, promotion & merit process, C&B guidelines which are defined on global level but need EMEA-specific implementation
- Ensure compliance with local labor law and employee tax requirements including visa processes
- Manage and develop the EMEA people team (People Operations, People Business Partners, Payroll Experts)
- Identify and assess emerging people trends and advise on the potential impacts on EMEA team and business
- Serve as trustworthy resource for the Management and Leaders in EMEA on people and organizational topics, while also partnering with the EMEA People Business Partners to drive departmental changes and growth
- Drive people & organization initiatives and evolve people & organization infrastructure (policies, processes, systems) in EMEA - and align those globally with the People team.
**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
- At least 7 years of experience in the field of HR and demonstrated experience in all aspects of HR as well as knowledge of local regulations including current employment laws in EMEA
- Experience in startups or scaleups; you are aware of synergies and challenges for an end-to-end people function and topics within a fast-moving environment
- Several years of leadership experience and multi-stakeholder management in an international environment
- An empathic person with strong communication skills, able to work independently and hands-on
- You have a positive, entrepreneurial, and service-oriented mindset
- You have a strategic and analytical approach to HR planning and data management
- Germany based (ideally close to Bonn) and fluent in German and English (good command of other EMEA language would be a plus)
