Tasks

At Genesis Cloud we’re scaling up. To keep up with this trajectory, we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer who supports Genesis Cloud in structuring, managing and overseeing strategic finance projects and day-to-day processes and activities.

As CFO of Genesis Cloud you will work on the future financial structure as well as administrative processes for a high-growth tech startup and its different entities in Europe and the US. In addition, you will structure future company funding through loans, grants, venture funding or other alternatives. You will be the main contact for our service providers in accounting, banking and controlling and you will manage day-to-day finance activities as smoothly as possible and required to support our ambitious growth plans.

This position is located in Munich, Germany. Hybrid work (up to 2 days home office per week), as well as flexible working hours can be arranged.

**These challenges are waiting for you**:

- Structure, manage, and implement financing activities for GC (including Venture Debt, Equity financing, etc.
- Oversee and approve tax and financial affairs of Genesis Cloud’s entities (overview of budgeting, financial planning, coordinating financial reports plus audits)
- Manage and oversee relationships to external service partners (external banks, tax advisors, auditors), if necessary, onboarding of new partners
- Develop proposal budgets and manage financial projects
- Develop the company consolidated financial reporting, integrating GCs worldwide entities and structure the approach for the next ones to come

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related fields.
- Min. 3 years of managerial and leadership experience as a Finance Director or similar positions in Start-ups / Scale ups
- Experience in financing vehicles for large CapEx infrastructure
- Experience building a finance department and setting up company processes
- Work experience across Accounting, Finance and Treasury departments
- Strong mathematical skills, with excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Proactive, forward-thinking mindset combined with a strategic visio
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
- Living in Munich or surroundings, or willing to relocate
