**Your mission**:
**Are you a strategic and hands-on Head of Purchasing with experience in the food industry? Do you enjoy leading purchasing teams, managing supplier relationships, and developing smart product assortments? Are you excited about driving change in a fast-growing international organization? Then this position at Tok Food might be your next step**
Due to strong growth in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, we are looking for a Head of Purchasing at our **location in Gronau (Westphalia**)**, who can strengthen our purchasing department, lead strategic and operational buying processes, and play a vital role in shaping our product assortment in line with market trends.
**Your profile**:
As Head of Purchasing, you will be responsible for the overall purchasing strategy and its execution, including supplier selection, negotiation, contract management and product range development. You’ll lead a team of buyers and work closely with other departments such as Sales, Logistics and Quality. You ensure that the right products are sourced at the right time, maintaining high standards in quality, price and availability, especially during seasonal peaks.
**Your tasks**:
- Develop and execute the strategic and operational purchasing strategy
- Lead and coach the purchasing team and further develop it toward Category Management
- Monitor supplier performance, negotiate contracts and secure continuity and quality
- Work with Sales and Logistics to optimize the product assortment and respond to trends
- Manage purchasing budgets, stock levels and cost control
- Maintain accurate supplier and product master data in the ERP system (Microsoft Business Central)
- Organize product reviews and supplier evaluations
- Support the traceability, labeling and compliance processes in coordination with Quality
**Who are you?**
- You have at least 5 years of experience in purchasing, including leadership responsibility, preferably in the food industry
- You bring strategic thinking and hands-on mentality - you know how to lead, but also how to execute
- You’re analytically strong and can work well with budgets, forecasts and trends
- Experience with import procedures and suppliers in Turkey and Europe is a big plus
- You speak English and German fluently; Turkish and/or Dutch is a bonus
- You are reliable, structured, pragmatic and know how to motivate a team
