We are looking for a** **Sr Controlling Specialist, Marketing, EU** **to join Europe’s regional finance team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. Delivery Hero Europe consists of 8 different country organizations and is led by a regional leadership team out of Berlin. Delivery Hero’s businesses in Europe are growing rapidly and occupy leading positions.

You will be working in close collaboration with stakeholders both in the regional team in Berlin and the local country teams. Leveraging insights from variance analysis to topline metrics, you will be building and maintaining a strong bridge between business and local
- & central teams to enhance decision making for the whole region.

**Your mission**:
You will lead the marketing cost controlling:

- You will perform month end closing reviews of the Marketing spend and prepare variance analysis
- You will ensure financial alignment between local and regional Finance and Marketing teams
- You will build and manage an accrual reporting processes for accurate monthly financials to eliminate hikes & overspends in following months
- You will own the alignment of marketing plans with financial reporting: This includes changes in Marketing channel split, monthly phasing & budget shifts
- You will manage the Intercompany Marketing cost recharging process for local, regional and central transactions: This includes definition of allocation keys and timely and accurate recharges of accruals and actual costs
- You will establish a mid-month cost review for early anticipation of expected Marketing spend to support and steer business decision making and improve spend management
- You will assess the effectiveness of Marketing spend in the context of topline metrics like Orders, Revenue and EBITDA
- You will build and manage Subscription and loyalty P&L reporting for each market
- You will perform month end closing reviews of Subscription-related performance and analyze the relevant performance drivers with the Subscription team
- You will regularly share your insights with senior management and engage with all levels of central and local stakeholders of the organization

**You will drive the financial marketing channel reporting**:

- You will be actively involved in financial planning and budgeting across the marketing organizations
- You will manage the forecasting process and alignment with the Regional Marketing team
- You will align the financial reporting of Marketing expenses with the Group guidelines
- You will improve the channel split reporting in order to eliminate discrepancies compared to the guidelines
- You will manage the harmonization process of the financial reporting approach across countries
- You will prepare calculations and assumptions supporting business case decision and ensure reflection in reporting tool

**What you bring to the table**:

- 3-5 years of work experience in the field of Controlling/Finance with interest in Marketing
- You studied business economics/administration with a focus on Business/Finance (preferably a Master’s degree or equivalent)
- Strong business partnering / cross functional stakeholder management skills, some experience in working with marketing is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint
- Natural curiosity, passionate about learning and a desire to understand the business
- Adaptable and collaborative, able to work with diverse groups of people at all levels in multiple countries
- Enjoy building and solving advanced Excel modeling challenges and utilize experience in P&L and project management
- Familiarity with Google Big Query and SQL is a plus
- Hands-on team player with advanced communication skills, verbally and written with fluency in English (our working language)
- Experience with any of SAP, Anaplan or One Stream is a plus
