**About the opportunity**
In addition to managing a Germany-based team and external vendors, this role will have close collaboration with marketing leaders across the firm's business segments and regions, as well as global and regional marketing and communications capabilities teams including Digital Marketing, Human Capital Marketing, Public Relations, Internal Communications, Social Media, Web Marketing, Brand and Events & Sponsorships.
The Marketing Director works directly with Senior Managing Directors in Germany to understand the firm's marketing needs and design and deliver an objectives-focused programme encompassing brand awareness, network development and opportunities generation to drive revenue growth. Managing the expectations of Senior Managing Directors across the firm's five business segments is critical to success in this position. This is a 'hands on' role that requires the ability to execute relationships, campaigns and initiatives in a matrixed, fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Work closely with Senior Managing Directors in Germany to develop and manage the marketing strategy and associated marketing plans and initiatives to build our brand, develop networks, enhance our reputation, and drive revenues
- Manage Germany-based marketing team, including translating marketing strategies into tactical action items they can executive against
- Develop and execute the Germany content strategy; driving marketing content creation and overseeing content calendar and pipeline, including but not limited to:
- Thought leadership
- Brochures and printed collateral
- Client success stories
- Recruiting collateral
- Digital channels, e.g., FTI Germany website, FTI Germany social media profiles, etc.
- Pitch and proposal support
- Lead events and sponsorships program, including managing the Germany events strategy for all business segments and working with Germany-based marketing team members to execute in-person and virtual hosted events and client receptions
- Develop FTI Germany's social media strategy and action plans in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the evaluation of different social media and advocacy platforms and analytics tools
- Ensure Client Relationship Management and Digital Marketing activities meet business and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate collaboration on cross-regional and cross-segment marketing and sales activities with an emphasis on retention of and cross-selling to existing clients, and the cultivation of new clients
- Develop and lead ongoing and multi-layered marketing campaigns to attract, develop and retain top talent in Germany
- Develop a commercial narrative for industry and cross-segment offerings, including building a deep understanding of core clients, core targets (including target client profile) and client buying patterns, as well as the competitive landscape
- Drive, manage, track, evaluate and report the ROI on various programme initiatives
- Manage external vendors and liaise with EMEA and global marketing teams to provide visibility and process compliance at all times
- Manage an assigned budget while making recommendations to best optimize marketing spend to accomplish overall goals
**Essential Knowlegde and Skills**:
- 8 years B2B marketing experience, ideally within the professional services sector
- Experience of developing and executing strategic marketing plans
- Experience of delivering multi-channel marketing programmes that engage audiences and deliver commercial outcomes
- Able to work effectively, confidently and with influence in a complex structure with multiple senior stakeholders
- Able to work proactively and independently to develop marketing initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communications, in German and English
- Experience managing a marketing team and budget
- Experience using CRM software and online mailing systems
- Able to work collaboratively as part of an international team
- Skilled in managing multiple projects and competing demands
- Experienced in media relations in the German market
- Strong MS Office skills, including Excel and PPT
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- A postgraduate marketing qualification (preferred)
