You will act as a research scientist who accelerates and coordinates the preparation of the pre-clinical macrophage therapy pipeline, managing and executing experimental work in Novo Nordisk that are aligned with research activities in MHH. You will promote discussions on progressing the macrophage therapy pipeline between efforts underway in Novo Nordisk and at MHH.

**. **You will work in collaboration with the team at MHH.

**Key tasks**:

- Transfer the macrophage platform from MHH to Novo Nordisk
- Foster exchange with relevant departments at Novo Nordisk to ensure full production process compliance with all relevant regulatory aspects
- Coordination of research activities and exchange between MHH and Novo Nordisk
- Contribution to the translation of the technology to clinical setting

**Your Profile**
- A profound interest in bioprocess development
- Working experience in the field of human iPSC and/or bioprocessing
- Background experience in the generation and handling of human macrophages is preferred
- High motivation for translational science to drive iPSC-based cell products into the clinics
- Strong and clear communication skills, driving the scientific project forward
- Thriving with working independently and taking ownership

**Required qualifications**
- A PhD degree in developmental/stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, bioprocessing, bioengineering, biomedicine, biology, biochemistry or similar
- Background in pluripotent stem cell biology and experience with differentiation and protocol optimization towards mesodermal lineages
- Experience and expertise in key in vitro assays such as flow cytometry, quantitative imaging methodologies, immunocytochemistry and gene expression analyses and ability to optimize and troubleshoot.
- Practical experience with suspension culture, scalable culture systems/bioreactors is preferred
- Excellent written and spoken English
