**R&D Team Lead (m/w/d)**:

**This position reports to**:
Head of R&D for Building and Home Automation Solutions Europe

**Your responsibilities**:

- You serve as a technical resource for internal (research colleagues and management) and external contacts (suppliers, technology groups, R&D funding bodies, educational institutions, etc.); you have knowledge of the legal aspects of electronic engineering and certification of products
- You create technology roadmaps and provide input regarding technology strategy planning
- Furthermore, you drive and foster a culture of innovation within the department
- You evaluate local market requirements and innovation and provide feedback to appropriate product, manufacturing and R&D strategies; you ensures the legal compliance of products, that includes product certification and approbation.
- You contribute to technical bodies both inside and outside ABB and promote ABB's R&D internally and externally

**Your background**:

- You have a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- You gained several years of working experience as Senior Hardware Developer
- You are experienced with KNX, EMV robust hardware design, wireless technologies, low power design
- Leadership experience is preferred
- You are able to communicate fluent in English and German (written and verbal)
