The Transactional Risk (TR) team at Marsh is part of its specialist Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) practice. The German business unit is part of the global PEMA practice consisting of +350 employees. Marsh’s PEMA Practice develops solutions that help corporations, private equity firms, alternative asset managers, lenders, and infrastructure investors manage M&A risks. Our dedicated team of advisors and attorneys worldwide works across Marsh and other Marsh & McLennan Companies businesses to help provide specialized, industry-specific depth.

Our TR team comprises professionals from backgrounds such as law and investment banking. The TR team advises on the structure and executes bespoke insurance solutions for M&A transactions. In 2021, Marsh placed more than 3,000 transactional risk insurance policies on over 1,900 unique transactions across the globe on behalf of our clients - representing over $81 billion in limits of liability. Our TR team has been a leading figure in developing transactional risk insurance solutions in the European and the German market over the last decade and is one of the most experienced and fastest growing teams in the market.

In order to further strengthen its TR team, we are looking for a

**TAX Risk Broker (f/m/d)**

for our Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg or Düsseldorf office. As a Transactional Tax Risk Broker, you will place insurance solutions for tax risks, i.e. Contingent Tax Risk Insurances, on high-profile M&A transactions in an international environment of expert colleagues. You will be in charge for insurance solutions for tax risks while establishing your own network. You will report to the German Head of Tax Risk.

**Your responsibilities**:

- To place insurance solutions (in particular Contingent Tax Risk Insurance) for tax risks
- To collaborate and develop our business with corporate and private equity clients, law firms, investment banks, business consultants and other centers of influence
- To attend and present at client meetings, commercial and legal seminars with a view to building relationships
- To manage insurer relationships and develop insurance coverage according to client’s need with insurance market
- To help to identify and develop new products and new markets
- To manage claims procedures

**Your qualifications**:

- German qualified tax advisor or tax lawyer (“Steuerberater / Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht”)
- Experience in the M&A sector (e.g. at Big Four, other tax advising or law firm)
- Excellent command of German and English language skills (spoken and written)
- Entrepreneurial, pro-active and innovative spirit to expand and enhance our business and our products
- Confident appearance and distinct abilities in communication
- Your approach is characterized by efficiency, flexibility and reliability
- Excellent analytic skills
- Capacity for teamwork
