Geospatial) System Architect

Develop a deep understanding of the Geospatial product range and leverage this knowledge to provide expert technical guidance.
- Understand and leverage the technical approach to building customer-tailored solutions based on the Hexagon Geospatial product and solution range across other SIG EMEA countries.
- Act as a key technical advisor, supporting Sales, Pre-Sales, and Project Management teams in designing and delivering innovative solutions.
- Utilization and adaptation of existing custom developments from international projects.
- Take the role of a technical lead in government and transportation projects, ensuring technical feasibility, compliance, and successful execution in close collaboration with project management.
- Define and oversee system architecture with a focus on scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud and server infrastructure, ensuring proper documentation.
- Support the sales team analyzing and answering public tenders by reviewing technical requirements, ensuring compliance, and contributing to proposal development.
- Play an inspiring and advising role in collaboration with customers during the definition of technical solutions.
- Assisting teams in solving technical challenges, provide hands-on support when necessary.
- Act as a mentor and technical lead, guiding engineering teams in best practices for system design and development.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in government, public, or transportation sectors.
- Take responsibility to represent Hexagon at technical boards and industry-specific standardization organizations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a System Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role.
- Knowledge of current cloud technologies (certification is a plus).
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and infrastructure design.
- Experience working with government, public sector, or transportation industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with public tendering processes and related documentation.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable, reliable technical solutions.
- Hands-on programming experience (not as a full-time developer, but to support technical teams).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make strategic technical decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English is required; German is a strong plus.
