Head Data Architect / Lead Data Engineer

A well-established, internationally growing consumer goods company is looking for an experienced
Data Architect / Lead Data Engineer
to design and implement the future data landscape across ERP and operational systems.

This is a
key role in a large-scale ERP and systems transformation
, with direct influence on scalability, international expansion, automation, and data governance. You will define standards, architecture, and governance for a modern, system-independent data platform while leading the migration of core business systems.

You will take ownership of the end-to-end data architecture, from target models and governance to integration and migration strategy. You will play a central role in shaping the company's next phase of growth.

Architecture & Strategy

  • Design a modern, scalable data model for ERP and connected satellite systems
  • Define a comprehensive interface and integration blueprint
  • Establish data governance, master data standards, and policies
  • Own the overall migration and integration architecture

Migration & Transformation

  • Define ETL / ELT strategies and tooling
  • Design data harmonisation across ERP systems (e.g. SAP), planning tools, e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify), and operational systems
  • Oversee mapping logic, transformations, and data quality during migration

Systems & Process Responsibility

  • Advise on ERP and platform decisions (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Business Central, Odoo, Manhattan, Infor)
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and audit compliance
  • Work closely with BI, automation, and IT teams

Leadership management

  • Build and lead a Data Management / Data Engineering team
  • Define KPIs for data performance and transformation success
  • Conduct performance and development discussions
  • Act as the primary technical contact for stakeholders and system interfaces

About you

  • 5–10 years of experience as a
    Data Architect, Lead Data Engineer, or ERP Migration Lead
  • Strong hands-on expertise in ERP data structures (SAP, MS Business Central, Odoo, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of data modelling, APIs, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, and Python
  • Experience delivering at least one full ERP migration
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to define and enforce standards
  • Passion for modern tools, automation, and AI-driven data approaches
